A visual archive of fleeting moments. The composition fragments and reassembles the past, suggesting that memory is not a single, clear image, but a collection of beautifully textured remnants. Long walks, long talks and staying for a while after dark. Remember those days gone by, the way it used to be. The warm, earth-toned palette and anchoring line work evokes a sense of nostalgia.
BIOGRAPHY
Glenn Miller is an Australian painter whose practice moves fluidly between abstraction and figuration. Working primarily in acrylics, he creates richly layered paintings composed of interlocking planes of colour, drawing inspiration from stained-glass windows, decorative arts traditions and modernist principles of structure and space. His work is characterised by flattened forms, luminous colour relationships and carefully orchestrated compositions that balance geometric order with expressive freedom.His paintings are held in private, public and corporate collections in Australia and internationally, including Perpetual Trustees, Sydney; Monte dei Paschi Bank, Sydney; Hartwyk Slowinski, Newark, USA; and the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery. His large-scale painting Christmas Eve was displayed at the Crown Casino, Melbourne, before entering a private collection.
